Los Gatos Residence
Demo, excavating, hauling, installation of hardscape and all soft scape.
This project started off with a website inquiry followed with a site check. The customer had connected two residential properties, removing the dividing fence and installing a roller system for the fence to open and close. We subbed out the artificial turf portion of the project because of the size and details around the putting green. Our customer wanted a specific appearance for the pergola and woodwork, but didn’t necessarily know how to create a working plan from her ideas.
We recommended Forever Redwood, a vendor who allows you to design your own pergola, finish and details such as wall and screen shades. The delivery occurred and we were able to assemble all of the units (3 storage sheds and a large pergola) with no problems.
Our favorite part of this project was the hidden garden oasis, we installed a round paver patio with a bending walkway, in the planter bed areas we installed a blend of Pammi pebbles and La Paz rocks. We then added raised planters with dedicated shutoffs for the customer to choose when they are ready to utilize them. This oasis also had fully mature trees installed to mimic a space that was created many years ago. As you near the back of the main home, you will notice the new wrap around Trex deck, this in stalled with low voltage step lights and Trex Transcend railing systems, for the apron underneath the patio we installed a decorative Trellis like product that highlights the black trim on the home.
We installed pavers to match the existing pavers all the way to the turf area. The turf area spans into both yards with a putting green and Golf simulator located under the pergola. The home behind needed some paver repair from a compaction problem at the initial installation by another contractor, as well as needing to match existing brick in a herring-bone pattern and relocate a fence. This project took us from June through mid- October.
